A team of Sigma staff have located and visited our patients who evacuated to several Houston, Austin and San Antonio areas and is conducting nursing visits for those patients who are in need for continuous care.  We are providing bedside PT/INR testing for patients on, blood thinner, Coumadin® and we are able to collect blood specimens and send to operating laboratories in the Houston area. In our disease management program, we are providing remote monitoring assessment for patients with heart failure, diabetes and chronic pulmonary disease utilizing cell phones technology.

Our occupational therapists have been conducting home safety evaluation for patients in Galveston, Brazoria and Harris counties including for those who did not evacuate Galveston Island. Starting Wednesday September, 24 we will be implementing a home safety evaluation program for seniors who are coming back to the island.
